The Waratah Room features: 

A Comfortable double size bed;

Large floor to ceiling North facing window fitted with block out blinds;

Study desk with drawer, desk lamp and sturdy desk chair;

Freestanding wardrobe with mirror;

Pedestal fan with remote control; and

Ducted heating.

The room size is 2.4m X 4.18m for a area of 10.0m2

This room is suitable for single occupant only.


House Features:

As a resident at Joan house, you will have full access to the communal areas including: Kitchen with an Electric Oven, Gas Stove top, Microwave, Ample pantry space, Space allocated in the fridge, and Cooking utensils.

This room accesses a shared bathroom.

There is also access to the shared laundry facilities with a front loader washing machine.

Outside there is a large grassed backyard with a patio/sun deck.

Located close to the Ring Road in Sunshine West commuting to the city by car is a quick 35 minutes.

Walking distance to the bus stop and a short ride will have you at Sunshine Train Station and then the CBD within 45 mins.

A short walk will also have you at the local supermarket (IGA), restaurants, cafe, and pharmacy.


Shared Bathroom for Jacaranda and Waratah Rooms

As a resident of the Waratah room, you will share this full bathroom with a maximum of one other resident. 


This bathroom features a full size bathtub/shower with shower curtain,

Wash basin with large vanity,

A large wall mirror, and

Exhaust fan.


Kitchen Facilities

The shared kitchen facilities offers a microwave, an oven, a 5 burner gas stove, a 4 slice toaster, and a kettle. There are two fridges, one with a freezer and a small bar sized freezer. Kitchen utensils provided include: cutlery, crockery, pots, pans, knife block set, chopping board, and oven trays. There is a large pantry with ample of shelf space per resident. Cleaning products (detergents, sponges, and drying cloths) for washing dishes are provided and maintained. For safety, there is also a fire extinguisher and fire blanket located within the kitchen.
